Today is Rama Navami. Prayers to Lord Rama, his wife mother Sita, his devotee Lord Hanuman and his brothers.
I just saw a video of my guru Sadhguru-ji and felt that I will share with you, to the best that I have been able to gather.
Sadhguru talks about the God Particle (Higgs-Boson particle) and relates this to the four states of the Universe. They are as follows:
Digressing a bit
In our quest for achieving prosperity from the knowledge of science that we have gathered, we have realized one thing. We are still at the icing on the cake. Maybe less. Our science (intellect – the process that understands science) has made progress by dividing things further and further. Today we have divided the atom and found subatomic particles. One of them, called the Higgs Boson is currently making the waves. Why? Science calls it the God particle. It’s not anywhere near God because we have just seen footprints of God. Like an invisible ball which makes a wave on the goal post of a football game. We know that the ball is there somewhere. We have only seen its effect. Maybe if we divide this particle further, we will get yet another fundamental particle or a string.
The point that Sadhguru is trying to make is that we have been very selfish by using the Universe. For example: when we see a tree, we think of wood, the flower etc. The flower we further divide into petals, sepals etc, and we keep on cutting it till it’s used as much as possible. What do we do then; we throw away the flower. Job done. What a limited viewpoint. If we had seen the flower from a top-down holistic perspective maybe we would’ve gathered something that is true Gyan (knowledge)
Back to the topic
Anyway, let’s get to the main part of the conversation. If the answer is not the Higgs-Boson or some other God particle, then what is?
As described above the Universe is made of :
Sthula : The gross matter. Or matter as we see it through our five senses. For example, this mountain, this river, the other person etc. Newtons laws of nature are applicable at this level.
Sookshma : The invisible world. Has anyone seen an atom? Maybe through an electron microscope. But most of this quantum world is invisible to us. Quantum mechanics is applicable here at this level.
Shunya : means emptiness. That’s it. It’s beyond our intellect. To feel Shunya, we must peek inside us. Deep inside us. We are all children of :
And in the end, what is not is beyond silence. Will pray for all, that we get to see a glimpse of infinity.
Remembering the poet William Blake on this occasion
To see a world in a grain of sand
And heaven in a wild flower
Hold the infinity in the palm of your hand
And eternity in an hour
God Bless !
