Seize the day
Everyone wants to wake up to a day full of happiness. Nobody likes to attract misery. However, we don’t know what the day has in store for us. Whether it was a happy or dejected day, we still must move on. Remember, every day is a new beginning. Promises to be paid. Have a good routine in the morning that allows you to seize the day. Consider a mix of physical, emotional and spiritual exercises to spruce you up. Do whatever charges you up. Don’t worry about the errands you have to take care in the hours of the day. Have no anxiety. Don’t be in a hurry. If you feel that your adrenaline levels are high, then practice taking 5 deep breathes. Go face the day like a meeting with your beloved. Thank God for the fact that you have woken up. Millions of people don’t wake up. So, in your prayers, thank God profusely. Position your day in such a way that the tough work is lined up for the most productive moments of your day. Feel the rhythm and dance to it.
Earning daily bread is essential. However, more essential is to love the work that you do. We all have our strengths and weaknesses. Know what’s in your cup, clearly. Enhance the strengths and attenuate the weakness. Every day is a learning for us. Now, it’s up to us whether we learn or simply while away our time. Don’t squander time. You may be a billionaire or a powerful figure, but you just can’t buy your past. Time is equal for everyone. Then, how come somebody succeeds and somebody just keeps going in circles. That’s because of 3 things:
- Character (Integrity)
- Decisions (Go / No-Go)
- Work (Action)
If you have all the above three in place, you can achieve your dreams, whatever they may be. Learn to master time. (It’s ruled by Saturn, and it’s a good teacher)
With your foot firmly on ground, plan, visualize and execute. Don’t be a futurist or a past analyzer. Live in the current moment. Live day by day. Every day you must make some progress. Maybe you learnt a new tool or maybe you spent time with kids. Do only those tasks which fulfills you. Don’t be afraid of people’s opinion. Sometimes their advice can be misleading. You are the best person who knows yourself. But remember, everyone has a unique story. So be kind to people. Speak less / Listen more. Enjoy your journey. If you think like most of the people, their rant is that one day I will be a millionaire, or I will achieve this or that. Don’t live in the future and appease yourself. Your situation is entirely because of the decisions that you have made in the past. Now, don’t regret the past or the present. Get going. The best work is done when you have no thoughts. Face your fear. Don’t put it for the day after. You will realize that the rose is available to those who don’t fear the thorns.
If you are on a spiritual journey, remember these things:
- The truth is not outside of you, but within.
- You are a complete being any time of the day.
- Don’t trust your senses too much. They can mislead.
- Learn to cultivate silence.
- Come from the place of your values. (If they are questionable, then change them)
- Live life like it’s your last day on Earth.
- Respect everyone. Remember they are also made of the same Earth that you are.
Your journey and somebody else’s may be different, but your destination is the same – Liberation or Moksha. This can be achieved by different techniques, but you require divine grace in order to be certified. So, in the meanwhile, there is just one thing. Pray. Remember Him/Her relentlessly, no matter if the world appears like a storm. Go seize the day.
God Bless …
